Ad #1

Hate Comment:

“Mykonos is only for hot people.”

Visual:

A bright, vibrant, and warm photo of all types of tourists tanning in the hot sun on one of the island's 23 beautiful beaches. Include a group with a variety of body types. Inspiration may come from images of Elia beach, known as a gathering place for hippies and gay tourists who don’t care to be themselves.

Purpose:

Show tourists that the stereotype that Mykonos is only for botoxed size-0 influencers and 20-year-olds is a lie. Mykonos was originally made famous for being progressive and letting hippies, gays, and nudists vacation somewhere they can be themselves. Don’t promote those specific groups exactly, but focus on the fact that Mykonos is a place older people and non-influencers can enjoy.

Ad #2

Hate Comment:

“Mykonos is too wild.”

Visual:

A bright, high-energy visual of people exploring the untamed Mykonos mountains, spearfishing in the creature-filled waters, or windsurfing on the waves of untouched beaches.

Purpose:

Debunk the misconception that Mykonos only offers expensive and flashy party experiences with no traditional Greek island charm by showcasing the real “wild side” of Mykonos. The small island offers numerous unregulated and untouched beaches to enjoy. There are endless mountains full of only goats, rabbits, and footpaths to explore, and empty beaches with octopus, seals, eels, caves, and precious shells to see… if you’re wild enough.
